About Us

Phil’s professional career was spent in Nuclear Industry as a corrosion engineer, project manager, executive manager, and principal owner of a successful engineering, environmental, and technology company. After selling Vista Engineering to Kurion, Inc. in 20214  Phil served Kurion as it’s COO prior to accepting the position as Sr. Vice President for European Operations & Managing Director of Kurion Ltd in Manchester, UK. In this role Mr. Ohl was responsible for Kurion’s Business Development, Project Management and all Operations in the United Kingdom and support to other EU business. In 2016, Kurion, Inc. was sold to the French, International Waste Management firm, Veolia, and Phil retired from full-time work.

Phil has participated as seller and buyer in several multi-million dollar M&A transactions and is well suited for consulting and due diligence for both sellers and buyers, particularly in engineering, environmental and technology markets. His current professional interests include serving as the Managing Director of Tri-Cities Angel Alliance (www.tc-angels.com) and consulting with interesting companies in corporate governance and business systems.

In addition to his professional work, Mr. Ohl has served on the Board of Directors of eight private corporations and six non-profits. He is also a registered professional mechanical engineer in the states of Washington and Oregon and a certified Project Management Professional. In his spare time, Mr. Ohl is an avid climber, sailor, golfer, foodie, scotch & cigar enthusiast, and drummer for the band, “Soup Dogs”. He is also currently supporting Open Door Travelers (www.opendoortravelers.com) as a Travel Blog Senior Contributor while traveling abroad.

Entropy, LLC also provides 100% volunteer management and administrative services to the Ohl Family Foundation. The Ohl Family Foundation is a registered Donor Advisory Fund on behalf of Phillip and Diane Ohl. The Foundation’s focus is on small Nonprofits that benefit the local  Tri-Cities, Washington community. Since inception in 2016, The Ohl Family Foundation has given over $400,000 to local non-profit organizations and currently has endowment funds that generate $20,000 per year.
